Journey to Peridot By-The-Sea

  • 1st Stop - From Kuala Lumpur, Penang, or Singapore to Merang Jetty or Shahbandar Jetty via private land transfer.
  • 2nd Stop - From Merang Jetty or Shahbandar Jetty to Redang Island via public ferry or private charter.
  • 3rd Stop - From Laguna Jetty to the resort via the resort’s shuttle service.

Transfer Assistance

We offer private arrangements and transfer services to the resort. During the rainy season (November – February), we also provide assistance with ferry ticket bookings.

Modes Of Transportation - Air

By Plane

The quickest way to get close to Redang Island is by flying into Sultan Mahmud Shah Airport in Kuala Terengganu. From here, you can take a bus, taxi, or GRAB to one of the two main jetties (Merang Jetty and Shahbandar Jetty) that offer ferry services to Redang.

  • Via Kuala Lumpur (1 hour)
    Travel via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).
  • Via Singapore
    Travel via Singapore Changi Airport (3 ½ hours).
  • Via Penang
    Travel via Penang International Airport (3 hours).
  • Via Johor Bahru
    Travel via Senai International Airport (3 hours 15 mins).

Modes Of Transportation - Land

By Car

Driving to the jetties is straightforward, and both Merang Jetty and Shahbandar Jetty provide secure parking facilities, usually costing around RM20 per day.

  • From Kuala Lumpur
    The drive to Kuala Terengganu takes about 5 hours via the East Coast Expressway.
  • From Penang
    The drive takes approximately 7.5 hours.
  • From Singapore
    The drive takes approximately 7 hours.

By Bus

Buses to Kuala Terengganu are available from major cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Singapore, arriving at Kuala Terengganu Bus Station, which is located close to Shahbandar Jetty.

Modes Of Transportation – Boat & Ferry

By Boat & Public Ferry

From Kuala Terengganu, you have two main options for ferry services:

  • Merang Jetty
    Located about 30 km from Kuala Terengganu, this jetty offers a quicker 45-minute boat ride to Redang Island.
  • Shahbandar Jetty
    Situated within walking distance from the Kuala Terengganu Bus Terminal, the public ferry from Shahbandar takes approximately two hours.

* Kindly share your boat or ferry details with us once your tickets are confirmed so we can arrange your pick-up.

** Public ferries and boats will be suspended during the monsoon season from November – February. However, private charters are still available. Kindly contact us directly for arrangements.
